Are Electrical Automobile Engineers Trained Differently?

Automobile engineering now is in strong need of specialists in electrical automobiles. A lot of scientists believe that electrical automobiles are less harmful for the natural environment as they don't exhaust oxides of hydrocarbons. In fact, electrical automobiles don't have it at all. Besides, electric automobiles don't have engine, radiator, clutch and carburetor (or injector). This is very convenient for drivers of these cars, because they need less servicing and are very economic and cheap. At the same time engine cars often have problems with clutch and carburetor due to inappropriate quality of gas.

Therefore electric and engine cars differ by their functioning systems. But still, both engine cars and electric cars engineering requires major in mathematics, physics and mechanical. Both of them need taking minor courses in social sciences and computers. You have to be good in repairing vehicles, be analytical and creative, and do well in electrical technologies. At least you need to like all this, while entering the university and taking electric engineering as a career. Choosing such a career can be a good choice in economic aspect as well. Sociologists say that demand on electrical engineers will be constantly increasing at 6% per every year. Peculiarities of the profession will allow you to work in research lab, independently or work for a big company. For example, not so long ago the Ford Motor Company needed electric engineers to work for them.

Automobile engineering is a very interesting profession, providing opportunities of exciting job, good career and big salary. But that is electrical automobile engineering to be the profession of future. This industrial branch is supposed to develop in future as constructing energy sustainable automobiles can solve a lot of problems we have now with the environment pollution and lack of energy. Nowadays we already have hybrid automobiles in serial production, but they have both battery and engine. When engine works, battery is charging. Therefore they have the pros and cons of both types of automobiles. The main feature is efficiency and less harmful exhaust. Can it be compared to absence of exhaust at all? I think, not. Besides, there is a thought that total using of electrical cars instead of engine ones can be harmful for the environment because of increased need in electricity and therefore bigger work of power stations and power plants.

Electric automobiles engineering requires more specialists to work out new models, to develop new projects and create new ways of solving problems with energy supplies and infrastructure. There is a chance for you to be the next world-famous scientist in automobile engineering. Use it!
