What does this career entail? Conservation biologists study ecology. It is the science of analyzing and protecting earth's biological diversity. It is important to analyze the environment. Many times the job will lead you towards being a wildlife biologist or marine biologist. Many times you will be studying rare species. Like any biology field, you may be in charge with working with others and coming up with ideas to help preserve the wildlife in the area you are studying.
The Audubon Society, Center for Conservation Biology, Nature Conservancy and the US Fish & Wildlife Service are all great organizations too look into to learn more about conservation. The job outlook for the field is absolutely great.
In order to start your career towards being a conservation biologist, you will need to go to university. Make sure to receive a bachelor's degree in conservation or a related field. However, most conservationists have a masters or PhD.
