We are interdisciplinary, with a primary administrative home in the College of Marine and Earth Studies. There are three primary faculty working on offshore wind, along with an additional half dozen faculty with interest and relevant expertise (e.g. continental shelf geology, ocean engineering, economics, air-sea interaction, marine biology, etc), and a dozen graduate students working in related topics. In addition to the focus of this site on offshore wind activities in the College of Marine and Earth Studies, we link to faculty working in aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechanical engineering and composite structures. This site describes our research, teaching, and public testimony, gives an introduction to some offshore wind concepts and tools, and describes the planned Delaware offshore wind project.
