Government Money for Green Training

Government Grants

These days money is tight. People are hunkering down and doing everything they can to save money. People are also looking at more affordable ways to get trained for green jobs. You may have quite a few options when it comes to funding.

If you are a veteran of the U.S. Army, than you may have a leg up on everyone else. The U.S. government just announced that 7.5 million dollars will be available for training in solar heating repair, solar roofing and many other green fields. The money should cover 3000 veterans and cover California, Texas, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, California and Arizona.

If you are not a resident of these states do not worry. There are many more government grants available for veterans. The Department of Labor has a special section laid out on their website, of grants specifically available for officers.

If you are not a veteran, there are many grants available through the federal government. While the website is a general grant site, it can be searched easily to help you find the grant that can help you through these tough economic times.
