Green Jobs: Farmers of Organic Fruits and Vegetables

Living healthy has become a main concern in this day and age. Our society is tired of being poisoned by those huge agricultural businesses who are not concerned about the damaging effects their chemical filled products are causing. People understand that eating foods produced without all the added chemicals only benefits them. The added chemicals used by conventional farming techniques have lead to unhealthiness and disease. Pesticides found in chemically grown food have been linked to such diseases as ADHD and cancer. Having organically grown foods grown for daily consumption reduces the risks of people being sick and unhealthy. The vitamins and minerals found in organic foods leads to proper growth and development of children both mentally and physically.

Farming methods used by conventional farms vs. organic farms are very different. Farmers recognize they have to change the way they grow foods in order to help the environment flourish. Agriculture makes up about 70% or more of the annual water demand in nearly all countries across the globe. More water will be needed as the demand for food rises. Conserving water, recycling waste and growing foods free of chemicals are necessary on family farms today. Over time organic farm soil gradually improves in organic substance and moisture on its own which leads to less water being used.

Organic fruits and vegetables are being produced more and more. The demand for chemical-free grown produce is ever mounting which is helping thriving family farms stay in business. If the majority of society were not concerned with what they were feeding their families we would not see the need for more green jobs. However, that is far from truth. As each day passes more folks are being informed of just how healthy organic produce can be for their families. Conventional farming will be a thing of the past as we move forward into the future.

Organically grown foods are rich in vitamin and mineral content which makes them nutritious for people to consume. Foods that are plentiful in minerals are an essential part of maintaining overall fitness and wellbeing. Farmers are responsible for creating soil containing those mineral elements vital to human health. Without these required elements that are naturally found in organic foods we are left facing added disease and sicknesses.

More organic farmers who produce fruits and vegetables the way our ancestors did in the past are needed today. Soil content needs to be changed all over the world to protect the environment. The earth only benefits from organically produced soil and foods. Having a green job as a farmer producing organic fruits and vegetables is one that is essential to the existence and protection of mankind. The demand for nutritious food will keep growing every day.
