One of the most important elements toward making sure that we are not wasting our natural resources and working actively toward destroying the planet means that there can be no waste products which come out of the products that we do manufacture. An unlikely area which many people may not consider but that could actually be a lucrative resource could be the recycling of shingles. When you look for a job as a shingles recycler, you can use the tear off waste products that come from shingles installation to actually make more important products that can be used in a variety of fields. When shingles are typically installed onto a home, they will come in rolls or sheets. The installer will take the needed sizes out of those sheets and cut them to match what is being installed. The scrap pieces of shingles, which are typically made of asphalt, will be discarded and eventually end up at a landfill. This asphalt is still useful, however. As a shingles recycler, you can collect all of these shingles pieces, sort through them, and obtain useful chunks of asphalt which can be used in other places. As a shingles recycler, you will take all of the scrap pieces of shingles which have been collected and you will sort through them to make sure that you have viable pieces. You will then clean them to remove any of the contamination which may have happened to them during their original installation. From here, you can grind these shingles and this mixture can then be poured into a hot asphalt mixture. Those mixtures are commonly used when paving roads, so you can ensure that your shingles recycler career is doing everything it can to make sure that there is as little waste as possible throughout a variety of career fields. In order to make a living as a shingles recycler, you may need to work on a very high basis. You will need to have a method of collecting shingles scraps as well as a method which can be used to help you clean those scraps and then grind them up to a usable size. The better the client base that you have as a shingles recycler, however, the more lucrative the career will actually be. Once you figure out what you are going to be able to accomplish with this recycling career, you are going to have the best chance possible of turning it into a field that not only helps conserve, but that you can live off of as well.
