Installer- Solar Thermal Schooling Training
Your option for learning the trade of solar thermal installation is expanding. You have the choice of trade school or college. There is one major certification program, but more will for sure be created. Solar programs cost around $500 to $1500 per course.
The NABCEP certifies installers in solar thermal and PV installation. These two trainings are separate yet have a lot to do with each other. Solar panels are the main thing that they have in common.
The breakdown or education requirements are specific, but easily met. If you have a construction background, auto background, plumbing background, or something that relates to any of these fields, than the switch to achieve certification is going to be easier than if you do not.
If you are starting from scratch, don't worry. You are only a few years away from certification in this very popular and upcoming career. If you prefer college or the school route, it may give you an advantage over others who choose not to go this route. There are alternative energy degrees now being offered at various universities. There also are two year programs that will give you the same knowledge as certification but, without the certification.
