Green Salon: Opening a Green and Chic Hair and Nail Salon
Land cannot be created in a laboratory nor does it form itself. Often, when we find the land, we have at the end of its useful life, we simply leave it alone and unused. Land revitalization can take the formerly useless land and find new life in it; either in a similar vein for what it was used before or as something entirely new. Whether it is reinvigorating mineral depleted farmland, or changing a cattle farm to a wind energy farm, revitalization can revive the land. What is needed to get started? One needs to know about the characteristics of healthy soil and what it takes to get soil back to optimum performance. A degree in geology or other related sciences is important, as is a degree in environmental protection. What are the initial investments?Your degree or degrees would be the first and possibly largest investments in this type of career, but other expenses could include the necessary licenses and certificates, as required by each locale, office space, office equipment and supplies. Why is it green?Soil revitalization is very green type of career. In some cases it would require only removing some of the non-green materials and then adding in the right type of nutrients. In other cases the work could be more labor intensive. One example would be converting the site of an old factory into green space for the growth of plants and other vegetation as well as animals. What are the income projections of this type of work?Depending on the type of land, the amount of work that is needed and the objective of the work, the amount that could be achieved for this type of work could be virtually limitless. What are the risks? As with anything that is different from other kinds of work, there might be limited times and places where these types of services are necessary or warranted. What is the market size or market potential? In each area, there would be only certain places that are potential sites for land revitalization. For example, in some areas there would be more potential where old factories close up and move on while in other areas the industrial world would remain as more profitable. Identify the competitors: Competition in this field would come from those who are also in the same field. Once the land reaches a certain size, there would be less of a chance of people wanting to do this work for themselves.
