Green Salon: Opening a Green and Chic Hair and Nail Salon
Having landscaping done for your yard is often the finishing touch for that yard. People know that beautiful flowers, trees and shrubs will attract wildlife to their yard. However, trying to keep all of those plants alive and well, can be time-consuming. Watering everything everyday is required maintenance and automatic water controls might be the answer, but they must be the right ones. The controls that work on a timer go off whether or not it is raining or just rained. There are better methods to maintaining your yard and hiring the right service to make use of those better methods is the answer. What kind of skills and education do I need? With regards to education, having a degree in agriculture or landscape design would be necessary. You should be able to demonstrate the basic knowledge of the system and its components as well as real ways and solutions to problems that you might encounter along the way. As for skills, you will need to do some strenuous manual labor, heavy lifting and work in extreme temperatures. You also should be able to deal with many different kinds of people. Who is the targeted audience? The target audience is anyone who cares about their yard and the environment. Additionally high profile clients such as the town hall, municipal buildings and others are good accounts. What do I need to realistically get started in this business? You would need the basic equipment for both the field work and the office. You would also need employees because even the smallest of these jobs could be too much for a single person to handle. Try to make as much of your equipment as green as possible. What are the risks?Any type of home improvement business can have its risks, but if you provide excellent service and actually show the customers the value of your work. you will minimize those risks for yourself. What are the other considerations that I should keep in mind? You should know that everyone is claiming to be green these days. It is becoming no longer a unique selling point to say that you are green. You have to go one step further and show them how much money they can save while saving water. Give them charts, statistics and graphs to reinforce the point. Be creative in your advertising but never lie, do not exaggerate and do not overstate the point either.
