Sustainable Home Design Schooling Training

To start you career as a sustainable home designer you will need quite a bit of training. You will need to understand architecture, construction and all the appliances and energy efficient practices that go along with construction. A degree in architecture is need and can cost $8 to $10 thousand a year provided you attend a local college. It could be more for out of state universities.

Another good certification to have is LEED. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design(LEED) is a certification of people who have completed a course and test showing that they are knowledgeable in green building practices. This can help you get ready to become a leader as a sustainable home designer.
