Waste Management- Schooling Training
Some training may be necessary depending on which way you would like to join the waste management field. If you are interested in management type positions than you may be able to turn an engineering degree into a valuable source for disposal companies.
Engineering degrees can cost in total around $40 to $50 thousand. Introductory jobs will not require anything but on the job training.
Waste management also gives you the ability to start your own recycling or waste disposal company. As the economy turns greener, this may give you a leg up on some competition. Recycling companies are becoming more popular than ever. Think about targeting apartment buildings as many of them have no recycling available to residents.
If you are interested in starting a garbage disposal career, make sure you are physically fit. The job is very physically demanding. You will need to have a truck license and possibly forklift experience. There are vital factor that you will need in order to land the job that you want. If you are handy with fixing trucks, you may be able to take this trade to this field as well.
