Wind Energy Technician Schooling Training
If you are looking to start you career as a wind energy technician than you will need to have some training and schooling. The schooling needed for a wind technician should not take long. There are many places that will allow you to get certified within a couple of years.
If you are interested in going further in the wind movement than there are university programs available. A university degree will cost around $8 to $15 thousand a year. There are some wind courses available that will cost around $300 to $1500 each.
There are many places throughout the country to get certified and educated as a wind energy technician. If you live in the central east part of the county traveling to Wisconsin or Pennsylvania is necessary. Wisconsin has the Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College as well as Lakeshore Technical College, and St. Francis University in Pennsylvania.
If you live the Western or Midwestern United States than your options are many and US Department of Energy has a great list of schools that offer wind training. The East Coast is limited as well in the availability of classes but New York and Massachusetts both have schools.
