Wind Turbine Manufacturing Assistant

Energy Co-Ops employ a variety of professionals. There is a long list of positions needed within a company, to keep it running smoothly. Like any other energy providing cooperative eco-friendly energy providers need to employ individuals which can actually manufacture the products they need to sell their services. Because energy cooperatives provide an intangible service the manufacturing of machinery it is often overlooked. In order to sell a service of this kind you need the machinery that can produce the service. A Wind Turbine is an example.

Wind Turbine Manufacturing Assistants are one of the many positions needed at an eco-friendly site. The responsibility of the WTMA is to aid an Energy Technician specialized in wind turbines, in the production of wind turbines and the documentation of processes used. They are also entrusted to document the handling of materials. The WTMA will work beneath the direction of the lead technician, and learn any training applicable to the position. Ideally Co-Ops prefer candidates that have prior experience in carpentry, fabrication and welding. Eco-friendly Co-Ops also prefer individuals that have a genuine interest in the field of energy efficiency and environmental preservation.

Although the main requirement of the Wind Turbine Manufacturing Assistant is to aid in the construction and compilation of a wind turbine, other duties may apply. Every day might not be hard labor. On some days the assistant will get a much appreciated break, and be tasked with the usage of pen and paper. Wind Turbine Manufacturing Assistants are expected to document ongoing activities within the building process. Assist them in any installations they take on, learn their training methods and keep records of everything for them. Although the WTMA is not the primary technician, their job is essential to the production and planning of wind turbines. They can take solace in knowing they are a crucial part in saving the environment as well as the company they work for.
