Our Programs
The Professional Swedish Massage Therapy program consists of a single course of 42 weeks
which meets Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m.
to 4 p.m., or Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
At the completion of this course students will have received 672 clock hours/33.99 semester
credit hours of instruction. A clock hour is defined as 50 minutes of instruction. 1 lecture credit
hour = 15 clock hours; 1 practical credit hour = 30 clock hours.
The course includes the following:
• A minimum of 200 hours of anatomy and physiology, including special instruction on
musculoskeletal anatomy.
• A minimum of 250 hours of training in massage therapy technique and practice which
includes training in how to give a full-body Swedish Massage and preparing to work in
a Spa setting by working on the public in our clinic.
• A minimum of 106 hours of law and ethics, business, massage history, benefits and contraindication of massage.
• A minimum of 108 hours of training in specific therapeutic modalities and nutrition, including an introduction to oriental massage
techniques.
• 8 hours of Basic Life Support/CPR training – this course is a requirement for graduation.

The Advanced Professional Massage Therapy program consists of the Professional Swedish Massage Therapy program and Pfrimmer Deep Muscle
Therapy® Level I.
• Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy® Level I is an 80 clock hour course that teaches a specific series of movements applied to the muscles; concentrates on all layers of muscles that have become depleted of their normal flow of blood and lymph fluid, restoring normal flow with its natural healing properties. It is a full-body therapy for the prevention and correction of crippling conditions, and is said to be helpful in more than 50 health conditions. Prerequisites: Applicant must be one of the following: massage therapist with a minimum of 500 hours in-class training, Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Chiropractor, Osteopath or Medical Doctor.
At the completion of this course students will have received 752 clock hours/36.99 semester credit hours of instruction.
The Comprehensive Advanced Professional Massage Therapy program consists of the Professional Swedish Massage Therapy program, Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy® Level I and Equine, Canine, Feline Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy®.
• Equine, Canine, Feline Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy® is a 40-hour course that teaches the Pfrimmer therapist how to work on horses,
dogs, cats, and other animals. Students are given a basic course in animal anatomy and physiology, and then attend practicals at area horse farms where they learn how to handle animals confidently and safely, and how to apply the Pfrimmer technique for specific problems.
Prerequisites: Graduate of ASSTI Swedish Program and Pfrimmer Level I.
At the completion of this course students will have received 792 clock hours/38.66 semester credit hours of instruction.
