The Professional Master’s Level Acupuncture Program of the American Institute of Alternative Medicine is the equivalent of a master’s level program and is an ACAOM candidate program. The 2170-hour curriculum is designed to thoroughly prepare students for entry-level careers as an Acupuncturist, Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM).

The full time program is three academic years (27 months) consisting of 9 twelve-week quarters. The curriculum includes Acupuncture and Related studies; Bio-Medical Science related material; Clinical Training; and Professional Development including counseling, communications, ethics and practice management. Upon successful completion of the program students receive a diploma.

The Western Massage Therapy Program of the American Institute of Alternative Medicine is a 750-hour curriculum designed to thoroughly prepare students for an entry level career in therapeutic massage as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).

The curriculum includes Massage Therapy and related studies; Bio-Medical Science related material and Clinical Training. Inherent in the curriculum is training for certification in Neuromuscular Therapy.

The Chinese Massage Therapy Program of the American Institute of Alternative Medicine is a 1052-hour curriculum designed to thoroughly prepare students for an entry-level career in therapeutic massage as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).

The greatest benefits of the Chinese Massage Therapy program are the development of assessment skills, learning TCM philosophy and western allopathic massage. This is the perfect program for the dedicated student who wishes to treat the whole client. Credits from this course may later be applied to the acupuncture program.

The Medical Assisting Program of the American Institute of Alternative Medicine is 720-hour, 53.5 quarter credit hours and is available as either a nine-month full-time program over three 12-week quarters, or as a year-long part-time program over four 12-week quarters. It is designed to provide graduates with the skills necessary to obtain entry-level employment in a variety of multidisciplinary clinical and/or administrative healthcare settings.

The Nursing Education Program at the American Institute of Alternative Medicine (AIAM) was developed through an interdisciplinary approach to incorporate the latest in scientific knowledge, as well as awareness of Complementary/Alternative Medicine (CAM) being recognized by the National Institute of Health (NIH).
