This concentration provides the most general technological background that the technology department offers. Students will develop knowledge and skill in many technological areas; including drafting and design, wood and metal working, computers, architecture, construction, graphic arts as well as renewable energy technologies, energy efficient solar building design and construction, waste management, research methods and contemporary technological problems facing society. This background would be useful in many fields of endeavor.

Renewable Energy Courses
Biofuels Technology
This course will cover the evolving biofuel technologies (biodiesel, alcohol, cellulose products, and methane) to displace depleting fossil fuels (diesel, gasoline, natural gas, and coal).

Intro to Energy Issues and Technology
This course will explore the various forms of energy and will examine the complete range of energy alternatives existing in the world today.

Computer Modeling Renewable Energy Systems
This course will introduce students to a variety of software packages for modeling the performance of renewable energy systems, and will help them develop proficiency in their use.
