College of Southern Idaho - Wind Energy and Environmental Technology
Twin Falls, ID (208) 733-9554 info@csi.edu What programs will the College be starting and when? Two new programs for the alternative and renewable energy industry will be implemented Fall Semester 2009: Environmental Technology and Wind Energy Technician. Why two programs? There is a specific need for wind turbine technicians which justifies the Wind Energy program, but other so-called green jobs have more to do with knowledge of renewable energy and related systems in general. The Environmental Technology program provides a broader curriculum in industrial electrical systems, co-generation, water resource management, solar, fuel cells, and the development of a skill set to position someone for a variety of jobs that we anticipate with the emergence of the green collar economy.
