This program is designed to prepare individuals for a health career as a massage therapist. Graduates will complete a course of study that exceeds 700 clock hours of curriculum content including, but not limited to, anatomy, physiology, pathology/microbiology, massage techniques and protocols following the standards of practice for the massage discipline, practicum, ethics, communication skills and business practices. Successful completion of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid training is required. Students in the AS program will learn how to begin and operate a massage therapy practice.
