"ECC is launching an Energy Efficiency/Renewable Energy Technology certificate program this fall focusing on a variety of environmentally sensitive components used in such industries as building and vehicle construction and facilities management."

"The college is also introducing this fall a Green Center for Environmental Sustainability in the Center for Technology on the Newark campus. Programs under consideration through the center include promotion of energy efficiency; lowering of the personal and industrial carbon footprint; discovering new methods for disposal of medical waste; promotion of green energy education, and creation of a training center. The models developed through the center will be used on several governmental levels to help revitalize local and regional economies."
