The Wind Turbine Technician Program at Francis Tuttle Technology Center is designed to meet the needs of new workforce technicians; “SAFETY” is of the utmost of concern for the “new technician”. The industry is forecasting a need for new technicians that are required to meet erection and service contracts of wind turbine companies and for upgrade or update training for current technicians. The program is designed to provide training and certification for safety training, tower rescue, torque certification, mechanical and laser shaft alignment and an electrical and electronics training program. Upon graduation potential technicians will graduate with third party certificates from globally recognized organizations such as OSHA, Capital Safety, DBI Sala, Snap-on, and HyTorc.
