Northwest Oklahoma is right in the middle of wind development in the United States, and in 2009, High Plains Technology Center became the fist career tech center in the state to offer a wind technician training program, leading the renewable energy training initiative in Oklahoma.

Safety is embedded throughout each module taught at High Plains, and is our highest priority. We partner with Airstreams Renewables, the leading independent wind energy technician training organization in the country, to guarantee our students leave with the skills necessary to become an entry-level wind energy technician. Our niche is to provide potential wind techs with a hands-on, fast track training experience. Each training class currently last approximately five weeks, Monday-Friday.
