Pocatello, ID Scott Rasmussen (208) 282-3265 rasmscot@isu.edu The College of Technology at Idaho State University along with it's operating and proposal partners have established the Energy Systems Technology and Education Center (ESTEC) on the Idaho State University campus in Pocatello, Idaho. Besides the Idaho State University College of Technology, the operating partners include the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and Partners for Prosperity (a strategic effort funded by the Northwest Area Foundation to reduce poverty in Eastern Idaho). Wind Energy Technology 4 semesters One Associate of Applied Science Degree and one Bachelor of Applied Technology degree are available. Objective: Provide students with information regarding basic safety principles in the Wind Energy industry. A brief overview of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be discussed. The primary focus will be on OSHA regulations and standards that pertain to the construction and maintenance of wind turbines and the energy industry. Retrieved from ESTEC website on 12/31/2009.
