The undergraduate program, leading to the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, BSc(Env), provides a strong interdisciplinary grounding and integration of the traditional natural, physical and social sciences, as well as humanities. Students choose a specialization in one of eight diverse majors, which are offered by four colleges.

The program emphasizes scientific approaches to understanding how the environment operates, as well as practical problem-solving and decision-making skills needed to solve environmental problems and provide effective management. The BSc(Env) emphasizes the development of strong communication skills and in group work.
